What care options are available?

Gateway Retirement Community offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care.

Our independent living residents thrive in our social and active environment, which we structure with planned activities throughout the week. Residents receive a full calendar of monthly activities in their on-site mailbox, with planned trips five days a week. Many of our residents still drive, and are encouraged to take trips as needed. Regular physical activity is scheduled Mondays through Saturdays, at set times, making exercise an important part of daily living at Gateway Manor.

Gateway Family House, our assisted living building, accommodates residents who require assistance with day-to-day tasks. Trained professionals provide compassionate and customized care for each patient, making it the perfect middle-ground between independent living and skilled nursing care. Residents enjoy the upbeat and spirited lifestyle of daily activities and community events. Our attentive staff ensures residents’ safety with on-site physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, as well as a 24-hour emergency response system connected to each room.

Our skilled nursing facility is staffed with professional RNs, LPNs and nursing assistants who are committed to helping individuals meet their daily social, physical, and psychological needs. As a valued part of Gateway Retirement Community for over twenty years, Gateway Health Care Center has always treated all of our residents with the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.

Is Gateway a continuing care retirement community (CCRC)?

Gateway Retirement Community is a continuing care facility that offers a spectrum of services — from independent living and assisted living to services in a skilled nursing facility — all on one campus (see more about our buildings). So when you or your loved one decides to leave home to a community with more care options, you’ll know that any level of care is available to you.

How is my level of care determined?

Our dedicated care team will assess your current health and review your medical history to see how we can best take care of you and all of your needs.

Do residents have access to transportation services?

Yes, transportation services are available at certain times.

What health care services are provided to independent living residents?

Independent living residents at Gateway Manor can take advantage of all the health care services available at Gateway Retirement Community.

Do you offer any short term care?

Yes. Short term care is an in-between solution for seniors recovering from a hospital stay and need some extra help transitioning back home, or for care when a family caregiver is not available. If recovery options are limited, or you need the extra time to ease back into home, let our professionally trained and licensed RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants provide a much-needed transition for you or your loved one. Do you offer 24-hour nursing?

Yes, Gateway Retirement Community offers 24-Hour skilled nursing care in our skilled nursing facility, Gateway Health Care Center.

What services are provided to assisted living residents?

Some of our residents in assisted living just need oversight and reminders while others need more attentive levels of care and assistance. We can assist our residents with all of their daily activities such as showering, dressing, grooming and even dining.

What amenities are offered?

Our wide variety of on-site amenities promote happy and healthy living at Gateway Retirement Community. Our continuing care program offers lifestyle and wellness routines, including daily trips and exercise classes. Individual therapies are available for outpatient programs as well.
